About RuTAG Technology Commercialization Programme
The RuTAG Technology Commercialization Programme is a joint initiative of the Office of the Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI). The programme aims to provide the necessary support for commercialization of shortlisted validated technologies developed at the RuTAG centers across seven Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) catering to the rural market in India as well as BIMSTEC and African countries.
With India playing a leading role in south-south cooperation on socio-economic developed of other developing nations, the African and BIMSTEC regions would provide an additional market opportunity for scaling and replicating Indian innovations. These technologies, developed and upgraded at the RuTAG centers across India, can be customized to the needs of the rural communities in these countries and thereby create sustainable socio-economic impact till the last mile. read more...

Rural Technology Action Group (RuTAG)
A key initiative of the Office of the Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India, the Rural Technology Action Group (RuTAG) has been conceived as a demand-driven catalyzing mechanism to address the needs of the Indian rural economy through targeted technology interventions and support. The needs are identified by S&T Institutions, NGOs, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and, State & Central Government organizations. The interventions can range from technology upgradation to delivery, training and demonstrations etc.
